Submission Details

Storage:

Entries must be submitted on clearly labeled CD-ROMs or DVDs. If you use a DVD, we will only accept data DVDs, not video DVDs. In other words, we must be able to drag and drop your mov file from the DVD to our hard-drive for presentation.

Submission:

Place CD or data DVD in an envelope with the completed entry form(s) and entry fee(s). CDs or data DVDs will not be returned. Entries should be labeled with your name, and title of submitted work.

Multiple Entries:

Up to three entries may be submitted by one person. Multiple entries may be submitted together on a single CD or data DVD. Be sure to clearly identify each separate entry, and complete a separate form for each entry. Collaborative projects count as one entry for the team member.

Entry Fee:

A non refundable fee of $5 should accompany each entry. Checks should be made out to the Sierra College Bookstore. The fee entitles each entrant to two tickets to the festival. Tickets include free refreshments during the main event.

Selected Work:

A panel of professionals will review all submitted entries and select a limited number for inclusion in the festival presentation. Accepted work will be announced online by April 21, 2007 at www.sierracollege.edu/scollies.

Awards:

Six Scollie Awards of $300 each will be announced and presented for outstanding work. “Honorable Mention Award” recipients will be given certificates. A “People’s Choice Award” will be determined by audience vote during the festival showing.

Right to Show Work:

By entering into the Scollies, the entrant gives Sierra College permission to showcase the entries at the festival, and through other educational media, such as a Scollies DVD, and the Scollies Website.

Originality & Copyright:

Work submitted must be original and created by the entrant. Only copyright-free images and sound may be used to compose animations and movies.
