The Sierra College Natural History Museum is home to a collection of more than 12,500 specimens. We provide tours to more than 1,600 people per year. The Museum also hosts monthly lectures from experts on everything from Geology to Biology to Natural History.
The Museum is also home to many yearly community events, such as Dinosaur Day/Science Fest. Our staff works with other Museums around the world to expand our knowledge of the natural world via visiting scholars, the sharing of specimens and the publication of research findings. The Museum is also looking to expand our offerings with additional community tours, the addition of school educational programs in STEM programs (science, technology, engineering and math), more community events and even, possibly, field trips!
Be a part of this exciting time as we are looking to become an even greater resource to our community by becoming a member today. Museum members get free admission to community tours, free admission to our lecture series and discounts at other Museum events, such as Dinosaur Day/Science Fest.
If you are looking for other ways to support the Museum, take a look at the options below. These options include acknowledgement in our biannual newsletter and on our website. These donors will also be invited to our yearly Thank You Event.
If are looking for still other options on how you can be part of the Museum, please contact the Sierra College Foundation office at email@example.com.
All memberships run for the duration of a single calendar year from January to January. Prorated memberships are available for those that are started later in the year.
As we enlarge upon plans for Museum membership and an expanded natural history program, we would like you to consider helping us along the way. A contribution of any size will go directly towards maintaining the museum program and exhibits as well as for developing future plans for the Museum and its functions. We've already completed several new exhibits, and are working on more. Contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. If you would like to be a corporate sponsor contributing to an exhibit or building expansion, please contact us.
Memberships may be purchased at the door during Museum seminars and special events. Your membership dues and other tax-deductible contributions can also be made out and sent to:
