The Sierra Friends of the Library is a dedicated to supporting library programming and services. The organization raises funds, provides financial and volunteer support, and library materials in order to assist the library.
Its members recognize that the Library is the heart of the college and essential to its educational mission and to the community at large. The Friends raise money for materials, equipment and services for the Library through book sales, fund-raising events and encouragement of gifts of all kinds to the Library.
The Friends sponsor activities and events to promote awareness of the Library's collections, resources and services to the college and the community.
Members of the community are invited to join the Friends of the Library. Annual membership dues entitle a Friend of the Library to receive a library card and use library services. Ask at the reference desk or circulation desk for an application.
