Ridley Gallery is accepting ceramics, fiber art, jewelry, metal art, photos, paintings, sculpture, prints, woodworking and drawings for sale during our Annual Holiday Sale.
The Sierra College Ridley Galley presents an Annual Sierra College Holiday Sale and Show, an exhibition of work by Sierra College students and community members. Artists who would like to sell their work can drop them off on December 2‐3, in the Ridley Gallery on the Rocklin Campus from 11‐6:00.
Artists will be provided with inventory sheets and labels. Each artist will be assigned a number, and each work must be numbered and logged on the inventory sheet. Initially, please bring no more than 20 items to the gallery. Additional items may be brought in throughout the show. Please note: artists will need to fill out Vendor forms and W‐9 at drop off, payment is issued through the Sierra College Foundation following the sale. Pick up of any unsold work will be on December 13‐14, 11‐6:00. Please note that any unclaimed work will become property of the Ridley Gallery.
The Ridley Gallery does all labor and installation of work, handles all sales and accounting, and provides widespread promotion. The Gallery will retain a commission of 40% of sales, a portion of which will go to the Student Art Club. These proceeds help to keep the gallery running, pays for the part‐ time director, provide funding for the juror for the student show, the Ridley Award, and the Student Purchase Award, as well as other operational expenses for the gallery. Artists may also choose to donate a greater percentage of sales.
All artists will price their own work. Please take into account the 40% commission. Items in the $10‐$75 dollar range tend to sell best, but we have on occasion sold higher price point work. Artists should consider what they would be willing to pay for the item, remembering that a primary goal of this event is sales.
Ridley Gallery is located on the first floor of the Library/LR 102, on the Rocklin campus, 5000 Rocklin Rd, Rocklin. Regular hours for Ridley Gallery are 11am -6:00 pm Monday through Thursday. Admission to Ridley Gallery is free and open to the public.
There is a $3 parking fee on campus. Parking permits are available at dispensers located on the campus parking lot.
This has historically been a very well attended sale, and artists have the chance to share their work with many campus and community members. The sale allows students an opportunity to show and sell their work in a gallery setting along with faculty and regional artists in a non-juried setting.
