Beginning and intermediate players will be grouped according to their age and ability. We will focus on instruction in setting, passing, serving, blocking and hitting skills. Each day the coach will lecture on a topic that will be reinforced with drills and games.
Intermediate and advanced players will have opportunities to demonstrate skills in scrimmage and game situations. Players will be grouped by age and skill level to ensure a positive and rewarding learning experience. High school teams or friends may be grouped together. The emphasis is to advance existing skills. We will focus on all skills and cover high intensity team drills including defense, offense and conditioning drills.
This camp will break into groups for hitters, setters, and liberos. Each court will work specifically on fundamentals as well as touching on advanced techniques for each position
The gym at Sierra College on the Rocklin Campus. A map will be provided with registration.

Has 23 years of experience coaching volleyball from youth to college levels. She is starting her ninth season with Sierra College. She has also coached and helped direct at many summer volleyball camps.
Nelson’s volleyball background comes from playing at Division I Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where the team finished in the top eight in the country all four years. Nelson came to Sierra College in the Fall of 2005.
