Event Details

Every spring semester a special day rolls around students at Sierra College and surrounding communities the opportunity to become more aware of the earth that they live on; this special day is Earth Day. This event has been a part of Sierra College for many years on both the Rocklin Campus as well as NCC and we intend to keep the tradition going strong.

NCC E.C.O.S club, the official environmental club on campus, always takes the role as coordinators of the event and strives to make Earth Day a fun and educational event by informing the students and locals about what is happening in our environment and how to get involved with local organizations if they would like to.

Guests will include local nonprofit organizations, including:

  • Wolf Creek Community Alliance,
  • Peace and Justice Center,
  • Climate Change Coalition,
  • SYRCL,
  • Sierra Club,
  • Audubon Society,
  • Weston A. Price Foundation,

and many many more!

This year will also include poetry readings from Sierra College English Faculty Iven Lourie, Judi Rae, and Chris Hall.

Schedule of performers:

10-10:45: Movement Alliance Dance Troupe
11-11:45: Earth Rhythms
12-12:45: Ishaan Reyna
1-1:45: Rising Tide
