Event Details

Have you ever sampled Persian food or listened to Peruvian music?  Can you make a Japanese origami crane?  Would you like to get a henna tattoo?  These are just a few of the things you can participate in at the 13th annual People & Culture Days, 2014.  The public is welcome and encouraged to attend this FREE event that will be held on the Quad, outside the college cafeteria at the Sierra College Rocklin campus on Wednesday October 22 and Thursday October 23 from 10 am – 2 pm.

Come experience cultures from around the globe right here in Rocklin.  There will be live music and entertainment, international food available for purchase, informational booths, posters, art, dancing, international arts & crafts, and much more.

Pick up your event Passport from the Embassy booth and look for the answers to the questions by talking with event participants and examining the posters. . Enter a drawing with a completed passport to win a prize. As Robin Persiani, English as second Language (ESL) Professor, says “It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn about, appreciate, and celebrate the diverse cultures on our campus and around the world.” This event is designed to foster world peace and promote understanding of different cultures and global issues.

For more information and the festival schedule, contact French Professor and event organizer, Laurence Lambert-Marandi, at llambert@sierracollege.edu. The Sierra College Rocklin Campus is located at 5000 Rocklin Road, Rocklin, CA.
