How to Use Sierra Job Link:

Step 1. Register and receive a password to post jobs and conduct resume searches.

  1. Go to
  2. In the Post a Job section, click on the Sierra Job Link icon.
  3. Once you are in the Sierra Job Link site, click on the Employers link.
  4. Choose the link for Register Now.
  5. Enter registration info with an email address so that we may contact you.
  6. Once approved by our office, you will receive an email notification confirming your Access ID and informing you of your Password.

Step 2. Using the Sierra Job Link services to post jobs and search for job candidates.

  2. Once you are in the Sierra Job Link site, select the Employers icon.
  3. Click on Online Services.
  4. Click the link to either Post Jobs or Search Resumes
  5. Enter your Access ID and Password (given to you when you registered).

You can now list, update, change or cancel your job postings. You can also search available student resumes and portfolios, check our announcements area for employer related events at Sierra or for updates on our program and services.

Job Posting Policy

  1. Sierra Community College District retains the right to refuse any employer, for any reason, the opportunity to post jobs on its online Sierra Job Link site.
  2. The Sierra Community College District provides Sierra Job Link as a public service for employers who can guarantee at least an hourly wage that complies with the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act for minimum wage. Postings of business opportunities that cannot make this guarantee, multi-level marketing businesses, or other business ventures that require an initial investment on the part of the applicant, are excluded from posting.
  3. Staffing and/or temporary employment services may only post specific part-time and full-time jobs. Job “types” used for the purpose solely for advertising are excluded. Resume review access will not be granted to these agencies.
  4. Sierra Job Link will make every effort to provide approved access to employers within two business days of receiving a registration request, except during periods of scheduled District holidays.
  5. Organizations that have been denied the opportunity to post on the Sierra College Sierra Job Link site can be, upon request, notified in writing within ten (10) days of the denial.
  6. Organizations recruiting through Sierra Job Link agree to contact Sierra Job Link when their position is closed, canceled or changed and to give full notification of any students or graduates hired via email to the Sierra Job Link at 


  1. Sierra Community College District makes no representations or guarantees about positions or student information posted. It is not responsible for safety, wages, working conditions or other aspects of off-campus employment. It is unable to research the integrity of each organization or person that lists a job or posts a resume on the Sierra Job Link site.
  2. Sierra Community College District does not guarantee that the college server will function error-free or uninterrupted.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I advertise a job opening?

Sierra Job Link is the only official Sierra posting site. You can select who sees your position: Sierra Students, Alumni or Community. If you select Community, your position will be available on a nationwide basis.

How long does the posting stay on the site?

The pre-set expiration date is 30 days after you initially post; you may designate a different expiration date when you enter the position or re-post at any time. Your position stays in the system but inactive after the expiration date—with the click of a button you can renew your position with no additional input required.

What is required to post a job?

You must fill out an Employer Registration form on the site then submit it for review. Within 48 hours (2 business days), you will receive an email back, supplying you with a password. Jobs must be offered on an hourly wage, at least California minimum wage. For our full Posting policy, please review the SCCD SJL Employer Policy.

Is there a fee?

No, Sierra Job Link is free to employers, student and alumni.
