Sierra College Fall 2021 Semester Begins with More Classes In-Person, Athletics on the Field, and Open Campuses

Fall 2021 semester instruction at Sierra College begins on August 23, 2021, with more than 500 classes being offered in-person, safety protocols reflecting statewide guidance, and an open campus with more student activities and services. Registration is still open at www.sierracollege.edu.

“This semester is a bridge to a better normal,” said Sierra College Superintendent/President Willy Duncan. “Our campuses are open and we look forward to welcoming back our students attending class in person. We are glad you’re here.”

Along with additional in-person classes the Sierra community is pleased to resume a full slate of athletics and increased on-campus activities including student clubs.

Health and Safety Protocols

Sierra College remains committed to following statewide guidance and best practices for the health and safety of our community. For Fall 2021 this includes:

  • Masks are required to be worn when indoors on campus.
  • Frequent hand washing, social distancing, and awareness of the safety of others is encouraged.
  • Students, faculty, and staff who come onto campus are required to complete a health screening and check in to classrooms and offices they visit using the Sierra College Mobile App.

Student Services

Student Services offices are open on the Rocklin campus Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm, and on Friday from 9 am to 12 noon. Students can access Financial Aid, Admissions and Records, and reception for counseling services and special programs in the Winstead building. Students can also easily find support and access all of student services virtually from 9 am to 5 pm by visiting: www.sierracollege.edu/studentservices

Student Activities and Athletics

Many student activities, clubs, and organizations are transitioning back to in-person meetings, along with Wolverine Athletics which has multiple fall sports teams competing. Fans are welcome back for games at Sierra College. Schedules are available at https://athletics.sierracollege.edu

Access to Campus

The Sierra College campuses and locations in Rocklin, Nevada County, Tahoe-Truckee, and Roseville Center are open.

Parking passes are not required for students in general parking lots for Fall 2021, including for parking in the new Rocklin Parking Garage which has 1,500 General and Staff parking spaces. American Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant parking and 10 electric vehicle charging station spaces are available in the garage.

Food services will be available at select areas on the Rocklin campus with limited hours.
