Find Academic Help at the Tutoring Center
Our tutors are fellow Sierra College students who are here to support you in a welcoming online and in-person learning community. Our team of tutors are happy to help with study skills and class content in over 140 subjects. All our tutoring services are always FREE and accessible from anywhere.
If you are having difficulty accessing Zoom, email tutorcenter@sierracollege.edu using your Sierra College email and provide your student ID.
What We Offer Students
We have different types of tutoring and will try to adapt to your needs.
- Stop by for in-person tutoring at the Tutoring Center on the Rocklin campus (LRC-402) and Nevada County Campus (N6).
- Zoom into an online tutoring session. View schedules using the buttons above.
- PASS Peer Program. PASS peer tutors are assigned to a course, help out in class, and hold study sessions outside of class. Contact the Tutoring Center to learn more.
- Tutor.com. For FREE help around the clock, log in to Canvas. From your list of courses, choose the class you want tutoring for. Click on the “Online Tutoring” link in the course menu at the left of the screen. If you need help with the subject matter of your course, you can access the online tutoring service via a link in your course navigation menu, or if it’s not available there, you can join the Online Tutoring Center Canvas shell to access it there.
Sierra College also offers several Student Success Workshops on a variety of topics each semester.
Zoom Tutoring Session Access for Instructors/Staff
Instructors and staff are welcome in the Zoom tutoring sessions. To participate, request a special code to enter the Zoom tutoring space by emailing Jennie Longmire or Ingrid Keriotis.
