A Week of Latino/a History, Culture and Significance

Event Details

La Semana Latina: A Week of Latino History, Culture and Significance.

Event held at Sierra CollegeThe Student Success Scorecard hints at the richness of diversity that uniquely defines Sierra College. As a college campus of higher learning, our obligation is to enhance knowledge by providing innovative and real-life programs of study for students and surrounding communities.

One distinct example is La Semana Latina: A Week of Latino History, Culture and Significance.

During the month of March, Sierra College Rocklin Campus schedules an annual series of student programs and activities to help in our understanding of the beauty, complexity and diversity of the Latino community. Cited by the U.S. Census Bureau as the largest ethnic minority group in the nation, it is easy to see how the value of our understanding becomes essential and meaningful.
