Free Math Tutoring for Students

The Math Center, including the Statistics/Math E and Algebra Centers, provide free tutoring to students enrolled at Sierra College. We provide math support for a range of math and math-related courses.

The Math Center provides free tutoring in mathematics from any math level, as well as the math contained in other subjects, such as Physics, Chemistry, Economics, etc. Tutoring can help you get a better grade, deepen your understanding of a subject, or find a place to do your homework or meet study partners.

The center can help with the following courses: Math D, 10, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 24, 27, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, and 42.

At the Math Center, you'll find:

  • Peer tutors who can help you with homework, exam strategies, math concepts and problem- solving
  • Whiteboards, chairs, tables, scratch paper
  • PCs with mathematics and Microsoft software
  • An inviting place to do your homework

The Statistics/Math E Center is available to all students currently enrolled in Statistics or Math E classes at Sierra College.

We provide free tutoring in Statistics and Math E. Tutoring can help you get a better grade, deepen your understanding of a subject, or be a place to do your homework or meet study partners.

At the Statistics/Math E Center, you'll find:

  • Peer tutors who can help you with homework, exam strategies, Statistics/Math E concepts and problem-solving.

  • PCs with mathematics, statistics and Microsoft software.
  • An inviting place to do your homework.

The Algebra Lab is open to all students enrolled in algebra classes and Sierra College student in need of algebra review.

At the Algebra Center, you'll find:

  • Peer tutors who can help you with homework, exam strategies, math concepts and problem- solving
  • Whiteboards, chairs, tables, scratch paper
  • PCs with mathematics and Microsoft software
  • An inviting place to do your homework

To use the centers, you must:

  • Be enrolled in a non-transferable, no credit, no fees course: Supervised Tutoring.

  • Log in with your student number at the Math Center and/or Statistics/Math E Center to show proof of current enrollment in a math class. Note: You are required to sign in and sign out every time you use these centers.
